*Collin was “spiritual” but was not open to Christ. Spiritual is code language for New Age, so Paul knew that he would not necessarily be open to him relating the gospel. Paul decided to contrast and compare his beliefs to that of Christianity. Paul was able to hold his attention for awhile. He was turned off by Christianity because of his cousins whom are believers. Paul told him that he understood and would pray for him.

*Lillian was incredibly open to the gospel as Timisha, Rob and Paul was able to share the gospel with her. Paul’s opening questioning to her was if she had ever heard the gospel message of Christ and her reply was that she was confused, dismayed and lonely because of evil in the world. This allowed us to share the gospel with her. She particularly focused her attention to Timisha and she sensed her loneliness. We prayed with her, gave her a bible and CCOB card and continued enjoying conversation.

*Andrea was a young woman who was working outside of a store demonstrating night lights. We were able to share the gospel with her and gave her a bible. She appreciated what we were doing in spreading the Good News.

*Ruben and Sam were two young kids rapping across the boardwalk with a portable player. Rob was able to hand them a tract to get their attention. Rob asked them if they went to Church and Sam said yes but Ruben said no. Rob’s attention instantly went to questioning Ruben on his beliefs. Ruben stated that he didn’t believe or never heard the gospel. Rob started to share gospel message and Ruben would finish citing the scripture. This led us to believe that he knew more about Christianity but was holding off. We finished sharing the gospel message with the boys and asked if they had a bible which in fact they did. Rob left off by handing them a CCOB card and encouraging them to find a Bible centered Church in their area.

*Mohammed we met on the boardwalk while we were handing out tracks He shouted out to us that he wanted one as well. Mohammed was a Muslim from Morroco who had lived in the USA for a number of years and taught Philosophy. We asked him if he had ever heard of who Jesus Christ was and if he had heard the Good News of the Gospel. He said of course and then went on to an equal comparison between Mohammed the Prophet and Jesus. After much enjoyable conversation and listening I asked him what one fact he could point to in the life of Mohammed that displayed real power. After listening to more historical facts he could not really point to any one factor. At this I pointed out the fact that Jesus healed the sick, opened the eyes of the blind, raised the dead and rose on the third day as real evidence to the truth claims of the Bible. This got his attention and after more enjoyable conversation we handed him a bible and parted ways.
